The Brain
The Left side of the brain collects all information and stores it in a collective bank and creates future forcasts based on past experiences.
The Right side is our creative side and the connection to the source of energy and the art of the molecular patterns and structure.
Hypnosis works with the subconscious preferably in theta or somnambulism. Here the critical thinker part of the brain takes a holiday so reprogramming can be delivered directly into the subconscious. Therapy and old negative emotional blocks, big or small, can be released and interpreted with revivification and/or desensitization.
Before the age of 6 years old a child has the majority of imprints implanted into their brains. These interpretations are analyzed with the child mindset. Most adults who have tried over and over again to change their negative beliefs feel as though they are chasing their tale all the time and never getting anywhere. Hypnosis is fabulous as it helps you find the "Initial Sensitizing Event" and release the negative emotions attached to the initial block. Then, diffuses the beliefs of feeling internally alone and helpless in such situations by taking the adult self back to these events and saving the inner child. This seems to reverse the pattern and create great relief for the individual. What seems to happen next is rapid change in a persons character towards a positive outcome. This seems to happen so comfortably that the client doesn't see the results as much as family and friends as it is integrated so well into the hardware of the brain. Much like a computer accepting a new program.
From personal experience of having 20 years of therapy and a few weeks of Hypnosis I'd take the latter.
